Thoughtful design elements, including natural light, acoustic wood panelling, and curved ceilings, create a welcoming, functional, and visually cohesive environment.

Expanded for efficiency and capacity

In order to address capacity issues and to maximise operational efficiencies, the ACT Law Courts building has been expanded to join the Supreme Court. Several new courtrooms have been added and the facilities have been modernised to accommodate judicial and other functions.

A welcoming, light-filled foyer

Extensive glazing floods the entrance with natural light, illuminating a striking Screenwood ceiling that enhances warmth and vitality. Screenwood panels offer the additional benefit of acoustic comfort in this space, which could otherwise be prone to unpleasant reverberation.
